Our team got its start in the tank combat game of Tanarus back in 1997, as "Special Forces" with the [SF] tag. The game finished its run in 2010, leaving a hole in the world of gaming that others have tried to fill, but not quite in the same way.
Word has reached us of an independent development effort called Rezarus, a remake of the game of Tanarus. The game is in an early development stage but is available to play. The game's Discord server (which is found on their website) has seen a number of Tanarus veterans reappear from the wilderness. Be sure to check it out and follow along as their development progresses!
